My name is Zoe and after working in the city, experiencing stress and overwhelm, I decided to retrain and become a qualified counsellor.

It was my vision to create a welcoming and tranquil space for you to work on what is important to you.

I am pleased to now offer two neutral locations, Leigh-on- Sea and Southchurch

Therapy provides a platform to improve and move past what can be painful and deep-rooted issues. My personal goal and passion is to assist my clients in reaching emotional freedom from these unwanted or reoccurring emotional difficulties.

Services offered

Counselling

Counselling or ‘talking therapies’ allow people to discuss their problems or difficult feelings in a safe and confidential environment. It's a process that people begin when they want to change something in their lives, or simply to explore their thoughts and feelings in more depth.

A counsellor is not there to tell you what to do, but instead, encourage you to talk about what's troubling you. The sessions will be aimed at helping you overcome your problems and recognising appropriate changes that may be needed to live to your full potential.

Hypnotherapy

Hypnotherapy is a talking therapy that utilises hypnosis to produce a state of focused attention. In this state a client can turn their focus inward to find and use the natural resources deep within themselves. Hypnotherapy can help to make positive changes gaining control over thoughts and behaviours.

Hypnotherapy focuses on the subconscious mind unlike counselling which works with the conscious mind.

Ayurvedic Massage

Ayurvedic massage is one key part of ayurvedic therapy. It results in a profound art of balancing the body and mind through mindful awareness and touch by the practitioner. The calm approach and the relaxed state during massage can improve disturbed sleeping patterns and provides a general sense of wellbeing. This therapy can oppose the effects of everyday stress and strain on the body and mind. In addition, the massage is given in stillness, meaning the massage therapist will be quiet and music will only be played.

EFT

Emotional Freedom Technique is one of the new ‘Energy Psychologies’ and is rooted in the ancient Chinese meridian energy system. EFT is based on the discovery theory that all negative emotions are the result of disruptions in the body’s energy system. EFT relieves symptoms by tapping various body points as we tune into, or focus on the problem. This tapping balances energy meridians that have become disrupted when we think about or experience an emotionally disturbing circumstance. Once balanced, the upset is usually resolved – the memory stays but the emotional charge is gone.

BrainWorking Recursive Therapy

‘BWRT®’ stands for ‘BrainWorking Recursive Therapy®’, a modern model of psychology and psychotherapy created by UK professional therapist, Terence Watts, MCGI. FAQs

Any booking that is not cancelled 48 hours prior will be chargeable. Any deposits will be non-refundable. Cancellations made giving 48 hours notice can be rescheduled.
Sessions can vary depending on the therapy offered. Prices can be found in the description of each profile. If 6 sessions are booked - generally a discount will be available - please call or email for more information
Each session is 50 minutes long. It is important that you are on time for your session and that the session does not go over the agreed time.
Please come to the front door and push, your therapist or counsellor will be ready to greet you. The first part of the session will involve negotiating a shared agreement and you will be asked some questions to understand your main objectives. You will have the opportunity to ask any questions that you may have.
Yes, each therapist has been vetted to insure that they are fully qualified and hold a valid indemnity insurance. Please note that full liability is owned by the individual therapist and you will be working as agreed within your initial session. LIFEHOUSE THERAPY acts as an introductory service only.
There are 4 steps up to the entrance of the room, once inside it is all on one level with plenty of space. If access is a problem please call me, I am happy to meet you outside and help you with the steps. However, if steps are a barrier then I may be able to arrange to meet elsewhere. Please contact me to discuss this. There is plenty of free parking around the premises and a bus stop nearby.
